It was engineered to transport heavy loads over difficult terrain and through water, featuring a distinctive boat-shaped hull and excellent off-road capabilities. Its unique design enabled it to carry up to five tonnes of supplies or personnel, proving invaluable for logistical support in various environments. The amphibious nature allowed it to cross rivers and navigate waterlogged areas that would stop conventional trucks, offering the British Army significant tactical flexibility.

The Stalwart was introduced in 1966 and remained in service until the 1990s, participating in various operations including the Falklands War. Its sturdy construction and dependable performance made it a key asset in military logistics, capable of operating in extreme conditions from Arctic cold to desert heat. With impressive ground clearance and an all-wheel-drive system, the Stalwart could handle obstacles and terrains that challenged other vehicles of its time. Its versatility extended beyond cargo transport, with versions adapted for roles such as recovery and workshop support.

Modelling enthusiasts value the Stalwart's unique angular shape and intricate surface details, which offer both challenge and satisfaction during painting. The vehicle's large windscreen and multiple viewing ports make masking essential for achieving a clean separation between painted body panels and clear parts, ensuring the completed model accurately reflects the authentic look of this capable military vehicle.

What's Inside

Paint masking set

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0902/8845/6059/files/FullSizeRender_695de6aa-c97e-41d3-bc0d-c7156bcf968f.jpg?v=1791553285
